| The volunteer spirit runs deep in the NCWSC. Surf Fest & other events would never happen without it. To thank this year’s volunteers, we threw a little thank-you BBQ + surf session at Monica’s in Santa Cruz

| Here’s the recap: first we got ourselves a bunch of small, glassy waves at the Hook and shared ‘em with only a few surfers and a ton of otters. (The highlight of my day!) Then we pitched in (check out chefs Monica and Stef below) and cooked up a BBQ feast. Aussie Pro & women’s surf naughty girl Pauline Menczer stopped by with some friends to chill. Cool to meet them – and even cooler to support them the following week at Monica/Tribal Surf’s fundraiser at 111 Minna in SF. |
